Alisa Chernova is a contemporary artist exploring the intersections of psychology, philosophy, and emotional depth. With a background in Gestalt therapy, she transforms inner human conflicts into powerful visual metaphors. Her works are built on contrasts of light and shadow, revealing themes of identity, illusion, and time. Alisa’s paintings have been exhibited internationally — from Times Square in New York to the Tokyo International Art Fair and The Holy Art projects in London, Amsterdam, Seoul, Paris, and Red Dot Miami ( Art Basel Miami week) and were also presented at Morphos – Temporary Identities in Venice and the Chania Art Fair in Greece. The artist's works and interviews have been published in international art publications, including The Holy Art Magazine, Contemporary Art Station, Visual Art Journal, and Aatonau.
My art is a dialogue between psychology and painting — a space where inner conflicts, fears, and existential questions take visual form. Drawing on psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy, I explore identity, time, and the fragile boundary between illusion and reality. Each work reflects an emotional experience — despair, anxiety, temptation, or the search for self — embodied through vivid contrasts of light, shadow, and symbolic imagery. My goal is to reveal what is usually hidden and to give voice to the invisible and unspoken aspects of human existence.
