Patricia Karen Gagic is an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist whose work explores the intersection of visible reality and invisible architecture. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, she has achieved historic recognition as the first Canadian female to receive the Gold Medal in Photography from France's prestigious Salon Nationale des Beaux-Arts. She has also been honored with the Silver, Pewter, and Vermeil Medals from the Société Académique Arts, Sciences et Lettres de Paris.
Gagic studied for 26 years under Master Artist Dragan Dragic in France, a mentorship that profoundly shaped her artistic vision.
She has served as Honorary Commissioner at the Venice Biennale and has exhibited at the world's most distinguished venues, including the Grand Palais Paris, Carrousel du Louvre, and the NASDAQ Jumbotron in Times Square. Her international exhibition history spans Zurich, Geneva, Berlin, Austria, Spain, and North America. Most recently, she was awarded the Sakura Art Prize 2025 in photography for her evocative work "Path."
Beyond her artistic achievements, Gagic has been inducted into the WXN Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada Hall of Fame, is a recipient of the YMCA Peace Medal 2025, and has dedicated 19 years to humanitarian work in Cambodia, building schools and libraries. In 2024, a feature documentary on her life and work was released by Vividarts.tv. She is the founder of the Karmic Art Framework and author of 14 books. Her spiritual depth infuses every aspect of her creative vision, inviting viewers to perceive what has always been present but rarely seen.
