Masters of 2027 | The Documentary

A professionally narrated cinematic portrait created to introduce your artistic practice
to collectors, galleries and curators worldwide.

Selected artists will become part of Masters of 2027 – The Documentary, an editorial film produced by Contemporary Art Station that celebrates a new generation of contemporary artists.

Each selected artist will be featured in their own professionally produced 90-second documentary chapter, creating a professional documentary that presents their artistic practice, story, and work in a refined, museum-quality format.
Your individual chapter will be created as a standalone artist documentary, which you will receive in Full HD MP4 format for your own professional use.

But your story will also become part of something bigger.

All individual artist chapters will be brought together to create Masters of 2027 — an international documentary film celebrating contemporary artists, their work, their stories, and the diversity of artistic practice today.

A unique opportunity to have your own professional artist documentary while becoming part of the collective story of Masters of 2027.

The documentary will premiere on the Contemporary Art Station YouTube channel and will be promoted across our digital platforms, including social media, newsletters, and editorial communications. It will also be shared with our international network of collectors, curators, galleries, art professionals, and art enthusiasts, while remaining available for artists to share freely with their own audiences worldwide.

What We Need From You

To create your documentary chapter, please provide the following materials:

  • Artist Biography — approximately 40–50 words

Tell us briefly about yourself as an artist: where you are based, your artistic background, career, relevant exhibitions, awards, achievements, or other important milestones.

  • Artist Statement — approximately 85–90 words

Tell us about your artistic practice in your own words. You may describe the ideas behind your work, your inspiration, creative process, techniques, materials, recurring themes, and what you aim to communicate through your art.

Please write naturally and personally. The text should sound good when spoken aloud rather than read like a formal CV or academic statement.

  • Lifestyle & Profile High-Res Images (minimum 10 images)
related to your artistic practice, such as:

    • Working in your studio

    • Creating artwork

    • Exhibition or installation photographs

    • Artist portraits

    • Behind-the-scenes moments

    • Early photographs that tell your artistic journey (optional)

If you have video footage instead of photographs, even better (minimum 5 videos)
Short clips of you working in the studio, creating artwork, installing exhibitions, or other moments related to your artistic practice will allow us to create a more dynamic and cinematic documentary.

  • 4 high-resolution artwork images (RGB format, JPEG or PNG preferred) & Titles
